How often do we pick up a book, we glance at the cover, or we read a few lines here and there, and if we aren't immediately grabbed by the books cover or the few words that we randomly chose to focus on, we put the book down, and go on our merry ways.
We may never know what treasure we just left behind.
Truth: Books do offer a form of therapy, and it's no matter if you pick up a book to learn, to laugh, to cry, and or to simply escape reality even for just a moment in time.We have all heard the old saying "Don’t Judge a Book by Looking at the Cover". That old saying is true.
Some of the best books ever written do not have attractive covers; A few excellent books that do not necessarily have attractive covers are "The Holy Bible", Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird", or even Gibbons "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire". I could go on and on. My point is don't judge by not truly knowing what any book contains.
We cheat ourselves when we overlook and assume anything. Please visit my sites, there is a book just waiting for you to sit back and relax with. Thank you, Overlooked Books
